The Thanjavur Police, investigating the suicide of a Class XII girl student of a Christian missionary school, the demand for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the matter grew louder, as the local police are yet to mention the religious conversion angle in the first information report (FIR) they’ve registered in connection with her death. The teenager, a Class 12 student, had consumed poison at her school hostel on January 9. After her health worsened, she was dashed to a government hospital, where she gave her declaration that she took the extreme step after the hostel warden forced her to clean rooms. She succumbed on January 19. There is no mention of religious conversion by the girl in the fresh video which is being circulated on social media. The latest video clip, running a few minutes, appears to have been shot while the girl was undergoing treatment in the hospital by an unidentified person. Meanwhile, a 47-second video clip showing the girl talking about a forced religious bid started doing rounds on social media. In the clip, a person could be heard asking the girl that was the hotel warden harassing her because her parents had refused religious conversion. To this, the girl responded that it might be the case.
