While Tatas, Jio, Amazon are all moving towards a super app, Sunil Bharti Mittal’s Airtel Digital has taken a contrarian stance. Adarsh Nair, Chief Product Officer, Airtel said, "There's no super app in India, it's a myth, super app concept started in China because of their complex letter system, Indians consumers not looking for a super app. Airtel is also getting set to integrate AR & VR with OTT platforms as India gets 5G ready.
