Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has stated that the government is prioritizing inclusive development and hence, farmers and farming sector will be benefitted from this budget. She said that the procurement of wheat and rabi, and paddy and kharif will cover 1208 lac metric tonnes of productions. Additionally, Rs 2.37 lac crores will be transferred to farmers as MSP. The government will now be promoting chemical free natural farming throughout the country. Support will also be provided to post harvesting value addition for millet cultivators.
