With Justice Stephen Breyer retiring this summer, US President Joe Biden has nominated federal appeals court Judge Kentanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court. A "formal investigation" of her nomination will now commence, and if confirmed, she will become the first Black woman to ever sit in the country's highest court.
