The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on Tuesday to proclaim March 15 as International Day to Combat Islamophobia with India expressing concern over the move saying there are growing contemporary forms of religiophobia, especially anti-Hindu, anti-Buddhist and anti-Sikh phobias. The resolution was introduced by Pakistan’s ambassador Munir Akram under the agenda item Culture of peace.
