After Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav claimed that a truck carrying EVMs was intercepted in Varanasi and accused the ruling BJP of attempting to steal votes, Congress leader Harish Rawat said that parties will be helpless if the Election Commission doesn’t take any action to stop tampering. Meanwhile, UP State Election Commission has denied the allegation and said the EVMs shown in a video were for training purposes.
