Ukraine created ‘International Legion of Territorial Defence’ to counter the Russian aggression on 27 February with Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba inviting fighters to contact foreign diplomatic missions of Ukraine in their respective countries. “Together we defeated Hitler, and we will defeat Putin, too,” said Kuleba. Later, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the first 16,000 were on their way to protect freedom of Ukraine.
