A 90-metre-long Orthotropic Steel Deck (OSD) has been launched by the Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority on the under-construction Mumbai Trans Harbour Link. In order to ensure that ships traversing the channel adjoining the MTHL have navigation space to pass under the bridge, the steel decks will be used. The orthotropic steel deck weighs 900 metric ton.
