The Char Dham Yatra is set to start on May 3 this year. The portals of the Yamunotri temple will be opened first in the Himalayas in Uttarakhand's Uttarkashi district. The Char Dham pilgrimage sites include Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri, while the Sikh shrine of Hemkund Sahib is also revered and is visited by lakhs every year.
