Gas distribution companies such as GAIL Gas Ltd, Mahanagar Gas Ltd (MGL), and Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) have given relief to millions of customers by cutting CNG and piped natural gas (PNG) prices, following the Centre's recent decision to revise the natural gas pricing formula. GAIL Gas Ltd, the city gas arm of GAIL (India) Ltd, reduced the prices of CNG and piped cooking gas by up to Rs 7, with effect from April 9, 2023, in line with the Government of India's guideline to pass on new domestic gas pricing benefits to its customers.
