Mahindra recently sold out one lakh units of the current generation Thar since its debut in October 2020. The current price hike is in effect to the newly introduced BS6 Stage-II norms that are in action from April 1 onwards. It has also been speculated that Mahindra might bring back the base spec AX version of the Thar. Currently, the SUV is available in two trim levels - AX(O) and LX.
