According to a study, Mizoram has been declared as the happiest state in India, based on six parameters like family relationships, mental/physical health, religion, philanthropy, work & social issues, and Covid-19's effect. The social structure of Mizoram and youth upbringing play a crucial role. Mizoram encourages children, irrespective of gender, to start earning early and offers employment opportunities to the youth. The study also highlighted that despite having many broken families, children are not left bereft as they have their peers in similar situations and financial independence from an early age means.
