The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has released Rs. 229.57 crore for the expansion and upgradation of Belagavi Airport. The project includes the expansion of the passenger terminal building, apron expansion, runway extension, and installation of aerobridges. The new terminal building will be 20,000 square meters in size and will have the capacity to handle 1,400 peak-hour passengers.
