Former Culpeper County Sheriff Scott Jenkins, sentenced to 10 years for accepting $75,000 in bribes for deputy appointments, was granted a full pardon by President Donald Trump on Monday. Trump claimed Jenkins was unfairly prosecuted by a “weaponized” DOJ. Jenkins, 53, was convicted in 2023 on multiple federal corruption charges.
