What Is Tsunami?
Tsunamis are large ocean waves generated by sudden vertical shifts in the seafloor, often due to powerful earthquakes along shallow faults or massive underwater landslides. As these waves approach coastal areas and enter shallower waters, they grow significantly in height, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).
