Economic Survey Pegs Growth At 8-8.5% | India Development Debate , KD News,

Ahead of the Union Budget, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman tabled the economic survey in the Parliament today. The survey pegs India's growth between 8 and 8.5% for FY23. The growth is supported by extensive vaccine coverage, supply-side reforms, and easing of regulations, said the Chief Economic Advisor Dr. V. Anantha Nageswaran. The survey also highlighted how the services sector is the worst hit by the pandemic, with services estimated to grow at 8.2%. The government is expecting consumption to pick up but cautioned on the inflation front, especially with regards to imported inflation. Can India handle the looming inflation threat?
