The Economic Survey tabled today indicated a recovery in economic activity, with GDP growth for the current year, which is seen at 9.2%. As per the Principal Economic Adviser, the overall GDP is 1.3% above the pre-pandemic levels, whereas the 2022-23 growth estimate is pegged at 8-8.5%. The broad message coming out from the economic survey is that if we don't have another wave of covid-19, and if crude prices cool off a bit for $70-75 per barrel, then we could have a much better year in the next financial year. Is this a very optimistic outlook or it is likely? Will Budget 2022 deliver on expectations? We discuss the India Development Debate with Sanjay Kumar, Partner, Deloitte India. Tune in!
