Mumbai: Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is set to arrive in Mumbai at 3.15 pm on Friday, marking the beginning of his first official visit to India since assuming office. The visit, which runs from February 27 to March 2, is at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Carney will spend two days in Mumbai before moving to the diplomatic core of the trip. During his Mumbai leg, he will meet CEOs, industry and financial experts, innovators, educators and representatives from Canadian Pension Funds operating in India.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the visit is aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and exploring new areas of cooperation between the two countries.
