Cardiac specialist Angeliki Asimaki, born with congenital heart defects, suffered a stroke at 36 after her heart stopped for up to 14 seconds due to intermittent AV block. After nine major procedures, including open-heart surgery, she now lives with arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy and advocates awareness of stroke warning signs and heart disease.
