Stock Market Today Live: The Indian stock market bounced back on Friday with Nifty reclaiming 23300 mark, and Sensex shoots up 970 points at the open. Market is responding to the falling crude oil prices on hopes of de-escalation in the Middle East.
All the sectoral indices are trading in the green. On Nifty, the major gainers were Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Tata Steel, SBI, HCL Technologies among others. The losers were HDFC Bank, Hindalco, ONGC.
The Nifty India Volatility index fell 4.9 per cent to 21.69 shortly after opening. About 1846 shares advanced, 446 shares declined, and 123 shares unchanged.
Nifty PSU Bank index showed a positive response at open as it rose over 3 per cent with the support of State Bank of India and Canara Bank stocks.
