Shamim Mafi, an Iranian-American businesswoman, was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport for allegedly facilitating multimillion-dollar arms deals for Iran, including drones and ammunition destined for Sudan amid its civil war. Mafi, a green card holder since 2016, is accused of using her Omani company, Atlas International Business, to broker these transactions.
