Honda City Facelift 2026 Launch Live Updates: Honda is set to reveal two important models for India today - the 2026 Honda City facelift and the all-new ZR-V Hybrid SUV. While the City receives a mid-cycle refresh with styling and feature upgrades, the ZR-V enters as Honda’s new flagship SUV, bringing strong-hybrid technology to a growing segment.
Expected Price
The 2026 Honda City facelift is expected to command a small premium over the outgoing model, with prices likely starting from around Rs 12.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The bigger talking point, however, will be the ZR-V Hybrid. Since the SUV is expected to arrive as a fully imported model, pricing could be significantly higher, potentially starting at Rs 40 lakh.
Powertrain Details
The City facelift is expected to continue with the familiar 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with manual and CVT gearbox options. The City e:HEV strong hybrid version is also likely to continue.
The ZR-V is expected to use Honda’s 2.0-litre strong-hybrid powertrain paired with an e-CVT automatic transmission.
Mileage Expectations
Mileage figures for the facelifted City are expected to remain similar to the current model. The City e:HEV currently claims over 27 kmpl, making it one of the most fuel-efficient sedans in the segment.
The ZR-V Hybrid is also expected to focus heavily on efficiency, although official India-spec mileage figures will be announced later today.
Rivals In India
The Honda City continues to compete with the Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia. Meanwhile, the ZR-V Hybrid is expected to take on premium SUVs such as the Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass and Citroen C5 Aircross, while also offering buyers an alternative to entry-level luxury SUVs.
